The FCC’s U.K. counterpart Ofcom updated its DTV figures for 4Q12, noting 98 percent of households (some 25 million) received DTV over any platform, an increase of nearly 5 percent year over year. Fifty-four percent subscribe to pay TV, up 2 percent; and 37 percent subscribe to pay satellite. What is surprising is that only 13 percent of households subscribe to cable, with no change in the numbers in a year.
