The MA Dept of Telecomm & Energy reportedly plans to investigate Comcast for market misconduct and violating antitrust laws in the Boston suburb of Braintree. Muni overbuilder Braintree Electric Light Dept accused Comcast of unfair price gouging and alleged that the MSO’s field techs damaged and disabled BELD signal-delivery gear and CMTS units. Comcast denied the allegations, calling them "groundless and unsubstantiated." BELD GM William Bottiggi said his company has lost 150 subs to Comcast in the last 2 months.
