Content delivery and ad insertion tech firm This Technology upgraded its cloud-based alternate content delivery software, now called SwitchStream, which allows MVPDs to deliver regionalized content to targeted audience. The service seeks to provide alternate content in instances in which content has been blacked out or when there are schedule changes. The upgrade features unified support for IP video streams and QAM-based digital TV platforms, removing the need to duplicate management efforts across platforms and improving visibility of alternate content execution.
