Softbank Gives Sprint Only A Short DISH Rope

Japan’s Softbank, which says it isn’t going to tweak its current offer for Sprint Nextel (CTDaily, 04/16/13), told its acquisition target that it’s OK to gather more information on rival DISH’s proposal – but that’s all. Sprint cannot “enter into negotiations with DISH.” Sprint shareholders will vote June 12 on the Softbank deal, and Softbank is confident papers will be signed by July 1.
