Due to its popularity, WICT will add a 2nd Executive Development Seminar to its calendar late this year on the west coast, vice chair Robin Sangston of Cox [COX] told the group’s Chapter Leadership Conference last night in DC. In fact, EDS will be re-branded as a prerequisite for attending the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute, arguably WICT’s cornerstone program. Additionally, WICT will partner with NCTA for a WICT-branded seminar at National and assist NCTA in proposing panels and speakers for National, she said. (NCTA chief Robert Sachs will address the WICT chapter leaders tomorrow.) WICT also will attempt to lure more attendees to its Forum (Mar 31-Apr 2) by having a special 1-day price for its opening day with its CEO panel. After presenting the group’s newest strategic plan to begin its 25th year, pres Benita Fitzgerald Mosley said WICT expects to make the PAR initiative an "industry institution." The PAR-generated list of best companies in cable for women "has stimulated the industry’s competitive juices," she said.
