Sezmi is conducting a pilot of its personalized TV service in Los Angeles. Sezmi brings television content from cable networks together with on-demand movies from studios and Internet video content. Sezmi will be subscription-based, but those people participating in the pilot will receive a free subscription to the Sezmi service that will automatically record, organize, and recommend shows for each person in the family based on their individual preferences. The press of a "mi" button on the Sezmi remote launches a custom view of a person’s own favorite content, along with recommendations matching their viewing habits.
