— The Sprint Data Link and Static IP networking services now operate over the carrier’s 4G LTE network while continuing to be compatible with 3G. — The Cache Xpander, a scalable caching addition to Concurrent’s MediaHawk VX Unified Content Delivery Solution, increases the amount of cache that can be configured at the edge of the network, thus allowing operators to deploy larger video content libraries and to better manage Content Delivery Network (CDN) traffic across the network backbone, the company says. Cache Xpander allows network attached storage units to be connected to and shared across multiple video streaming servers. By using multiple storage units, edge server complexes can be configured to support more than 100 TB of intelligently managed solid-state cache capacity.
