Canada’s Rogers Communications bought Blackiron Data (a pure-play data center/cloud provider) from Primus Telecommunications Group for $200 million. The new acquisition, which serves some 4,000 customers right now, will complement the operator’s current suite of enterprise services. Blackiron’s eight data centers are located within 200 kilometers of 80 percent of all Canadian businesses, Rogers points out.
