HBO with 40% of the vote was the overwhelming leader in a CableWORLD poll in today’s edition that asked operators to name the cable network affiliate with the best promotions; Viacom (11%), Disney/ESPN, Showtime and Starz (9%) followed. Local ad sales leaders were Disney/ESPN (22%), Turner (19%) and Discovery (17%). Ops said Discovery (27%) provides the most value, followed by HBO (17%) and Starz (15%); those providing the least value were Disney/ESPN (20%), Fox (18%) and NBCU and Turner (11%).
