Comcast: Joe Waz is coming back to Comcast as senior strategic advisor/Public Policy and External Affairs. Waz semi-retired in 2011 after 17 years of service but has remained active with the company and the cable industry as a consultant. Waz was founding chair of the Broadband Internet Technology Advisory Group, and he currently serves on the board of the Telecommunications Policy Research Conference. And in Comcast’s Houston region, Byron Cantrall joined as regional vice president/Business Services. Cantrall had been regional director/Sales and Organizational Development for MegaPath, with responsibility for Arizona, Nevada, California and Utah.
 
Front Porch Digital: Mark Pougnet is the new CFO at cloud-based content-storage-management (CSM) solutions provider Front Porch Digital, overseeing the company’s finance and business operations. Pougnet brings to the table experience with international technology companies along with a background in storage and SaaS applications.
