Cynthia L. Gibson, a member of the senior management team at Scripps Networks Interactive Inc., now will serve as its chief legal officer and corporate secretary, succeeding A.B. Cruz III, who announced last month that he is leaving the company to allow himself greater flexibility in his role as a rear admiral in the U.S. Navy Reserve. Gibson, recently named as one of the “Most Powerful Women in Cable” by sister publication CableFAX, will be responsible for coordinating and further developing the company’s legal, business affairs and audit departments as well as providing guidance and oversight for all of the company’s litigation, contractual, governance and regulatory obligations…Keith Gelles joined interactive TV solutions provider BrightLine as CTO, responsible for developing, implementing and executing the company’s new suite of technology-based solutions. Gelles most recently served as CTO at Medialets, where he oversaw growth and strategy as well as the development of such tools and technologies as ad-serving platforms for emerging devices.
