PCT Charges EMTA Batteries

With batteries from early EMTA deployments approaching the end of their initial charge life, PCT International announced at Cable-Tec Expo a solution designed to simplify battery test, re-charge and redeployment. The Battery Testing and Charging System is intended to provide a comprehensive solution for ensuring EMTA battery performance during extended power outages. The system includes servers, testing software and a tester/charger, and can be stacked to service up to 192 batteries in one 19-inch rack.
