E! – Eonline
First of all, we’ll concede that not everyone out there considers pop culture and celebrity to be news. But you know… they’re just wrong. After all, how do we cope with Syria or the Ukraine if we can’t make fun of Justin Bieber? One thing’s for certain: E! knows how to synthesize, analyze and fantasize celebrity culture in a way that combines just enough basic information with just enough snark. E! has also kept up with the times, adding multimedia features, 24/7 updates, exclusives and more. Eonline even created an exclusive daily web show, “Live From E!,” that airs weekdays and includes social elements like a Fan Chat Module that allows viewers to tweet during the show by using #livefromE! In addition to Live From E!, other products launched on Eonline this year include TV Scoop and The Trend. As of December 2013, uniques were up 35% versus 2012, supporting the success of the Eonline’s innovative new format. And across all of cable entertainment sites, Eonline consistently ranks #1 in average daily uniques.

AMC.com
It may not be a newsroom in the traditional sense, but we continue to enjoy the bloggy tidbits and news bites found on AMC’s network portal.
ESPN.com
It’s hard to even describe the level of news and information found on ESPN’s main site. It’s where sports junkies go to die—at least the ones who get into Heaven.
