Universal Cable Productions will offer more than a dozen digital video programs including new series "Tesla and Twain" and "Last Single Girl." It’s also developing additional original series. Debuting first on various digital platforms including the company’s channel websites, Hulu and VOD sites, many of the digital series will be made in direct collaboration with advertising partners. NBCU has been beefing up its digital team, recently tapping former top HBO exec Alison Moore as head of TVE. The move came after Disney‘s play in the space through its acquisition of YouTube multichannel network Maker Studios.
