Time Warner Cable (TWC) tapped mPortal Inc. as the platform provider for the operator’s “My TWC” mobile application, its mobile gateway for managing accounts by enabling such features as viewing current balance and paying a bill directly from the app, finding a payment center, and managing VoiceZone settings.

Current TWC customers can download the free app and log in using their TWC digital IDs and passwords.

Using the mPortal cloud-based SPRINGBOARD product suite, the My TWC mobile app lets subscribers access and manage their TWC account either any place, any time from both Android and iOS devices. SPRINGBOARD includes a “smart client” mPortal says provides subscribers with “an intuitive way to find, download, and launch applications and services as well as a carrier-grade server that handles the ingestion and distribution of content.”

Other mPortal’s customers include AOL, Comcast, Cricket Communications, Cox Communications, Disney Mobile, Mobile ESPN, Reliance Infocomm, TV Guide, Verizon Wireless and Xerox.
