Level 3 Communications has signed an agreement with Information Television Network (ITV), a producer of health and wellness broadcast programming based in Florida, to provide bandwidth support for the company’s production needs.

Due to increased viewership and a move to more high-definition (HD) programming, bandwidth requirements for ITV have increased. The production company also requires network service solutions that will improve information transfer speeds. Level 3 is building fiber directly into ITV’s studio and providing the broadcaster with direct Internet access (DIA) service.

ITV will be using Level 3’s services to transfer bandwidth-intensive content across its network and to improve employee connectivity. Under the terms of the agreement and in addition to the fiber build into ITV’s studio facility, Level 3 is providing ITV with 20 Mbps DIA and providing a T1 line for voice services.
