More than 6,000 visitors are expected to attend the three-day IP&TV World Forum conference in London, March 22-24, to discuss the progression of connected and converged TV and the increased adoption and application of Internet Protocol (IP).

Speakers include executives from Liberty Europe, Virgin Media, Ericsson, Cisco, Netflix, China Telecom, Alcatel-Lucent and Huawei.

The name for this year’s event has been tweaked from "IPTV World Forum" to "IP&TV World Forum" to highlight the increasing number of cable companies adopting IP technology for connected TV. Presumably, the old term "IPTV" made cable operators think it was just a telco conference.
