Long-running BBC reality show, "Top Gear," is getting Americanized by Discovery. After picking up the non-scripted International Emmy in NY, "Gear" producer Gary Broadhurst told CableFAX that a US version is in development and will begin early next year on either Discovery or TLC. The UK version appeared on Discovery this past June. — "30 Days" creator/producer Morgan Spurlock will begin filming the 2nd season of his FX program in the next 30 days. Spurlock also has a development deal with Comedy Central, the first pilot of which will be produced next summer or fall, Spurlock said. — A&E’s on-again, off-again espionage drama "MI-5" lost an Intl Emmy Awards drama bid to another espionage drama from Denmark, "The Eagle."-CableWORLD’s Simon Applebaum
