Verizon’s lack of interest in building a FiOS network in Baltimore piqued concern from Senators Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.) and Ben Cardin (D-Md.) regarding the pending Verizon Wireless/SpectrumCo deal (click here for more information) in a recent letter to FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski, saying in part “(Baltimore) officials and constituents there are concerned the company would be even less likely to make further investment in the FiOS network if the proposed transaction is approved.”
