Earlier this week, advocacy group Free Press dropped its petition for review of the FCC’s network-neutrality rules, just prior to the deadline for comments at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. However, Verizon and MetroPCS filed a joint brief, saying in part that the commish “lacks authority,” and that the rules are “unconstitutional, arbitrary and capricious.” The FCC itself has a September filing deadline.
