Research firm JSI Capital Advisors has announced the release of Phone Lines 2009, a summary of incumbent local exchange carriers (ILECs) ranked by access lines, access lines by state, and by parent company. Phone Lines 2009, the ninth edition of JSICA’s annual publication, found that U.S. ILEC access lines fell 9.6 percent in 2008 to 128.4 million, and total U.S. lines are expected to fall to 60.6 million by 2018.
