Daniels chmn/CEO Brian Deevy and BET pres/CEO Debra Lee co-chair the Oct 19 festivities in Denver. — Broadband Gear Report gave Aurora’s virtual hub platform its 3.5 diamond award. — Cable made a strong showing in nominations for TV Critics Assoc (TCA) awards, receiving nods in all but 1 category and sweeping "Outstanding Achievement Movies, Minis and Specials" (HBO got 4, BBC America 1). And cable dominated "Children’s Programming" (3 for Nick and 1 for Noggin). Comedy Central’s "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" garnered 4 noms, including 1 in the ‘News & Info’ category. HBO’s "Deadwood" grabbed 3. FX’s "Rescue Me" received 1 in the ‘Drama’ category. Winners will be announced July 23.
