The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) Foundation has appointed Cox Communications EVP and CTO Scott Hatfield to its Board of Directors, filling a vacancy created when Christopher Bowick retired from Cox and resigned from the Foundation Board this past summer. The SCTE Foundation Board has 11 members in total.

The SCTE Foundation was established by the SCTE Board of Directors in 2005 and began issuing grants in 2006. The Foundation has helped numerous SCTE members continue their education and development by distributing grants totaling almost $140,000.
