Yesterday, a Sea Launch Zenit 3SL launch vehicle successfully sent the Intelsat 21 satellite aloft from a mobile platform in the equatorial Pacific Ocean. The orbiter will serve direct-to-home (DTH) and cable programmers in Latin America, and it replaces Intelsat 9…Thai cable and satellite provider TrueVisions selected ATEME’s Kyrion encoders and decoders to link its main production facility in Bangkok with remote studios over optical fiber.

Denver University Set to Buy Cable Center Building

The Syndeo Institute at The Cable Center has entered into a tentative agreement with the University of Denver to sell the more than 75,000-square-foot building that’s housed the nonprofit educational arm of the cable industry since 2001. Financials weren’t disclosed.
