Genband will be using the Radisys Software Media Resource Function (MRF) to provide the IP media processing for Genband’s EXPERiUS application server and its CONTiNUUM call session controllers. The duo collaborated to enable virtualized media processing for cloud-based deployments in a virtualized cloud model. MRF processes real-time audio and video media streams under the control of application servers in an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) environment; it includes simple conference mixing, messaging and IVR feature control for the EXPERiUS application server while supporting multimedia network announcements, digital collection and lawful intercept for the CONTiNUUM call session controllers, the companies add.
