According to a corporate blog posting by Verizon spokeswoman Heather Wilner, Verizon’s Video on Demand (VOD) offering for FiOS customers now offers 30,000 monthly titles, about half of which are free.

Wilner’s post says, "And we don’t limit our FiOS customers to the TV. With Flex View, FiOS TV customers can buy or rent and watch more than 4,000 movies and TV shows on their TV, PC or mobile devices."

Verizon also offers new release movies from all the major studios as 48-hour rentals.
