Starz Entertainment – How Spartacus Conquered Facebook
As Spartacus entered its final season, Starz enlisted fans to become part of the rebellion themselves. So to speak, that is. Facebookers were inspired to comment using the language of the show—a brilliant tie-in for a medium in which humor and lightheartedness is rewarded. For the network’s part, “share this” became “spread word.” “Watch tonight” transformed to “set eyes to purpose and mind to task.” And then there’s the “Spartacussing,” which, as you might have guessed, is cursing in Spartacus speak.
