The opening session of the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in October will feature the panel “Mid-Size Insights: Challenges and Solutions Faced By Small to Mid-Size Cable Operators.” Moderated by Ken Wright, principal of Wright Solutions and technology advisor to NCTC, the panel includes Michael Giobbi, CTO at Armstrong Communications; Wade Holmes, vice president/Technology at BendBroadband; Joseph D. Jensen, CTO at Buckeye Cablevision; and Kelly Rehm, technical operations manager/GM at Massillon Cable TV/Clear Picture…The second annual Cable Mavericks Masters Forum, presented by Motorola Mobility and backed by The Cable Center, will be held Oct. 26 at The Paley Center for Media in New York City. The free full-day program for college students and faculty features a multi-panel discussion format with some of the industry’s top thought leaders; the event also will be live-streamed and will be available on demand after the event is complete. Speakers will come from some of the top cablecos, including IFC, Bright House Networks, Motorola Mobility, NBCUniversal, HGTV, Comedy Central, BBC America, BET Networks, Cooking Channel, Time Warner Cable, HBO, ESPN, C-SPAN and ION Media Networks.
