ImaginAsian’s CEO Augustine Hong tells Simon Applebaum how his brother Michael, ImaginAsian TV’s founding CEO, has made it hard for him to fail.

CableWorld: What’s the first order of business at ImaginAsian TV with you as CEO?

Hong: To bring the necessary resources to secure and finance our growing strategic significance in the market place.

CW: What are ImaginAsian TV’s Diversity Week plans?

Hong: As a supporting member of NAMIC, David Chu, our SVP of Programming and Productions, will be representing ImaginAsian TV on the NAMIC Conference panel “Asian Fusion or More Confusion” on Monday, September 17.

CW: Did your brother [and former CEO Michael] give you any advice before you assumed his old job?

Hong: His advice was to continue to build on what we’ve achieved in the past 4 years with the only difference being to just do it better. My brother has very effectively communicated the vision of the company, defined the necessary paths, built relationships with trusting partners, and sold the timeliness of this venture to all the right folks in the industry.  This makes my job infinitely easier than what he had to endure in our early years.  In other words, he’s paid for everything so that I will not fail.
