Boston usually plays host city when CTAM holds its annual Summit on the East Coast. So why is this week’s CTAM Summit being held in Philadelphia, which can get quite muggy this time of year? Well, we know why, but we thought we’d ask a few people anyway, just to see what they’d say. Eleo Hensleigh, EVP and chief marketing officer, Disney-ABC TV Group: "What better place to highlight our Disney-ESPN media network brands than a city with such strong icons as the American flag, cream cheese and Rocky Balboa? Plus, isn’t Philadelphia’s moniker the City of Affiliate Love?" Michael Mohamad, SVP, marketing, The History Channel: "We know Philly’s most famous citizen, Ben Franklin, left his hometown of Boston and moved to Philadelphia. Having once worked with Ben, we’re always happy to hang out with him again. Though we love Boston, too, Philadelphia feels right at home to us." Mark Greenberg, EVP, Showtime Networks: "Acela Express usually breaks down halfway between Washington and New York." Jeff Valdez, chairman/co-founder, STV: "It’s one of the few places where you can get a mullet haircut and cheesesteak in the same store. I should know. I’ve had both." Mike Doyle, president, Eastern division, Comcast: "Because `the Thrilla in Phila’ sounds better than `the Hoedown in Beantown.’"
