Cox Enterprises Inc.: After 33 years with the company, President/CEO Jimmy W. Hayes will retire in April 2014. Hayes has led Cox Communications, Manheim, Cox Media Group and AutoTrader Group since 2008 as well as corporate headquarters groups. He will continue as a member of the board. Effective May 1, John M. Dyer becomes COO, and he will succeed Hayes. Dyer currently serves as executive vice president/CFO. Douglas E. Franklin will succeed Dyer as vice president/CFO; until that time, he remains president of Cox Media Group. Succeeding Franklin will be Bill Hoffman, currently an executive vice president at Cox Media Group.
