Compton Communications, headquartered outside of Toronto, Ontario, is the first Canadian operator to launch TiVo HD DVRs through Evolution Digital, a supplier of digital solutions for bandwidth reclamation and next generation advanced set-top boxes. Evolution is providing Compton with TiVo HD DVRs through a cable operator-focused partnership with TiVo whereby Evolution is streamlining the process for small to mid-sized operators.

“Now that the TiVo HD DVR is a one-box solution in Canada, acting as the sole cable box, TiVo’s brand recognition as the world’s leading user interface and DVR made it the logical next step to enhance our product offering,” said Travis Campbell, marketing manager of Compton Communications, in a statement. "With TiVo HD DVRs being CableCARD compatible and no infrastructure or expensive equipment needed to launch, it was a clear decision.”
