Cedar Point Communications to Demonstrate Next Generation of Voice Services at National Show
Cedar Point Communications www.cedarpointcom.com, has announced that next month at the NCTA National Show in San Francisco it will demonstrate in conjunction with its ServiceClass™ partners how its SAFARI C³™ Media Switching System can enable next generation voice services, including “seamless mobility,” between WiFi and cellular networks; business voice services, such as Hunt Groups and Virtual Private Networking capability; television based Caller ID; and the ability to manage video telephony using SIP endpoints. “As the cable industry begins to scale up its deployment of voice, our team faces the responsibility not only for delivering voice services today, but for mapping a vision that brings the simplicity and cost-effectiveness of SAFARI to the advanced services on the horizon,” said Andy Paff, president and CEO for Cedar Point Communications. SAFARI C³ is an integrated carrier class VoIP switch that includes all of the components that make up the PacketCable™ voice switching infrastructure, eliminating the need for operators to purchase, maintain, upgrade and regression test separate Call Management Servers, Media Gateways, Record Keeping Servers, Announcement Servers, Signaling Gateways, Ethernet Switches and CALEA servers.
