Camiant has seen an increase in demand for its best of breed, pure-play policy control solution, particularly outside of North America, adding six new international broadband operator customers across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific since June 2009.  Camiant’s international customers now account for more than half its total deployments.

To support Camiant’s international growth, the company announced it is expanding its market presence in both Europe and Asia Pacific with the opening of additional offices in Madrid, Spain and Nanjing, China. The company also appointed Paul Hancock, Managing Director for EMEA Operations.

The new customers include:

  • Selection by a major global mobile telecommunications group across its worldwide footprint for mobile data services including roaming and congestion control, with deployments underway in several countries.
  • ?Deployment by a European mobile operator to dynamically manage broadband services based on user consumption levels including EU roaming data usage, as well as to deliver several new service offerings.
  • ?Deployment by an Asia Pacific telecom operator to provide policy and charging capabilities for Residential Voice over IP services, and ?Use by an operator in the Middle East in support of SIP-based commercial VoIP services.

In order to more directly serve its growing customer base and extend its regional reach to additional broadband operators, Camiant has added an office in Madrid in addition to the existing office in the UK. Both offices will provide sales and support resources and will be managed by Hancock.

After a detailed evaluation, the company chose Nanjing as the preferred site to expand its presence in Asia Pacific. The Nanjing office will provide additional engineering and service resources to support the worldwide growth of the company and enhance the company’s ability to continue to deliver innovation to broadband operators.
