Why Him? Mohler has become the largest independent distributor of cable networks, with contracts totaling more than 60mln HHs. In addition, Olympusat owns several Spanish-language nets, faith-based channels and has branched into anime, with young-skewing Funimation and non-team sports with Untamed Sports TV, featuring hiking, biking and fishing, and no license fees for cable ops. Olympusat also is known in cable circles for Ocean New Media, the distribution arm that moves content to VOD, broadband and mobile platforms. Looking to move further into the Spanish-language market, Mohler formed a production company that has produced some 70 films here and in Mexico.

Silencio Is Golden: A student of distribution, Mohler has inked contracts with retail outlets, and his DVD of the film El Ultimo Silencio is the top-grossing Spanish-language movie at Wal-Mart.

Year Ahead:
With the Spanish demo growing rapidly, the Miami-based company is set to launch three Spanish-language networks in ’09.
