In the days of All in the Family, Get Smart and The Dick Van Dyke Show, fall was traditionally the season for premieres of TV shows, but TV and its calendar aren’t what they used to be. New shows appear throughout the year now, but TV’s roots run deep. As you can see in this guide to new cable programming, the falling of leaves still means an abundance of new shows on the screen.
