Cable Center Calls For Nominations For Bresnan Ethics Award
The Cable Center announced a call for nominations for its inaugural Bresnan Ethics in Business Award. The new industry award honors the late William Bresnan, founder and chairman of Bresnan Communications and long-time chairman of the board of The Cable Center. The award will be presented by The Cable Center at the Cable Hall of Fame Celebration, June 14, 2011 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers, in conjunction with the National Cable and Telecommunication Association’s (NCTA) Cable Show.??
Industry members are invited to nominate outstanding men and women in the cable industry who best exemplify Bresnan’s longstanding commitment to ethics in business. Nominees should represent the standards, including continually demonstrating ethical leadership qualities, doing what’s right in the face of adversity, even when it is unpopular, and incorporating doing what’s right in everyday life. Anyone with at least fifteen years of service in the industry is eligible for the award. A nomination form and complete details are available on The Cable Center’s website, www.cablecenter.org. All nominations are due by March 29. An exhibit honoring the award recipients will be on permanent display at The Cable Center.
