Charter elected Viacom sr adviser Jonathan Dolgen to its board of directors Thurs, according to an SEC filing. Dolgen served as Viacom’s ent group chmn until July of this year. Charter revealed in the filing it paid Viacom about $188mln for programming in ’03 and recorded about $4.7mln from Viacom nets related to launch incentives and marketing support. And Charter added HealthSouth chmn Robert May to its board. The elections put Charter’s board at 12 members. Charter shares closed up 11% Fri.
