Consumer Reports tested VoIP for the 1st time for its Feb issue, and found definite upsides mixed with abundant service problems. The magazine says "installation difficulties, voice quality, and incoming call problems put VoIP behind landline" service, and offers the somewhat misleading judgment that "VoIP does not provide reliable access to 911 in an emergency." Our friends at Cedar Point might have something to say about that….
