The Australian National Broadband Network (NBN) has chosen SPATIALinfo as the physical network inventory software provider for Australia’s national broadband initiative. In a multimillion dollar contract, initially slated for two years, SPATIALinfo has agreed to provide software licenses and product support for the planning, construction, and network inventory domain portion of NBN’s Business and Operational Support Systems (BSS/OSS) project.

SPATIALinfo’s products are designed for end-to-end physical network design and management so that network operators can leverage their physical network asset data for improved business operations.

SPATIALinfo’s software products will allow NBN to manage assets from the network planning and design phase through to construction by tracking each element of the network as it’s built. As each phase of the network goes live, SPATIALinfo’s software will enable access to the exact digital network maps that the network design engineers use, thereby allowing field technicians to connect residences and businesses to the network promptly as well as address network issues.
