The FCC’s Advisory Committee on Diversity for Communications in the Digital Age held its 5th meeting Fri, recommending that the Commission establish a Website that will serve as a diversity resource directory. Other recommendations included modifying the Commission’s current EEO rules to include separate "menus" for recruitment and for career advancement. The committee includes Landmark’s Decker Anstrom, Showtime’s Matt Blank and WICT’s Benita Fitzgerald Mosley. — NCTA’s Robert Sachs met with FCC chmn Michael Powell last week to make cable’s case for why the July ’06 ban for operator deployment of integrated set-top boxes should be eliminated, according to an FCC filing. The FCC plans to reassess the need for the ban next month.
