AT&T has been recognized with a 2009 Carrier Ethernet Service Provider award for the Best Service Portfolio. The award was bestowed by the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF). AT&T was selected as the service provider that, in the opinion of the judges, has provided the most extensive range of Ethernet products to the greatest possible number of customers within the markets it serves.

"This year’s Service Provider Award winners truly demonstrated the advances in Carrier Ethernet services, a continued growth segment of the telecommunications industry," said Nan Chen, MEF president, in a statement.

AT&T provides a suite of Ethernet services that offer bandwidth for last mile applications with bandwidth requirements ranging from 512k to 10G and above. AT&T Ethernet solutions include Metro Ethernet, Switched Ethernet and Wide-area Ethernet services.
