Why Him? A seven-year CBS Sports Network vet with more than 20 years in the business, Rose brokers big, long-term contracts and renewals with some of the country’s largest distributors. Since he’s come aboard, the network has seen its subscriber base swell from 11 million to 47 million-plus. When he’s not slaving away in the office, Rose dedicates his time to improving his tennis game or crushing calories at a Flywheel spin class. “I prefer to get better at hobbies,” he admits.

The one thing I’d do differently if I could go back to high school: Date (I was with one woman for 3 years – and I didn’t marry her).

On a Saturday afternoon, you can find me… spinning at Flywheel, playing tennis, slaving in my yard.

The hobby I’ve been itching to try, but haven’t found time: I prefer to get better at the hobbies I love today (tennis).

My new year’s resolution for 2014 will be… spend more time visiting my kids at school.

My peers would be surprised to learn that I… am incredibly claustrophobic.

The other subject I wish I’d picked for my college major: Marketing

Favorite decade: 80s

I consider this person my mentor, and here’s why: Henry Schleiff (he will answer every question, personal or business, honestly and with urgency. So much to take away from Henry: tremendous leader, diligent, incredibly well prepared, aggressive, confident, clever).

Favorite airport: I hate all airports.

I watch the majority of programming on this device: Samsung Smart TV – 55 inch

My favorite Cable Show memory: 2002… when Court TV awarded a lifetime of free cable to its 70th millionth subscriber.

Netflix or Hulu? Netflix

Celebrity, sports figure or politician I’d most want to have dinner with? John McEnroe. Main topic: Why aren’t there any top tier/elite American male players?

If I could tell my 21-year-old self something today, it would be… save $2 of every $10 I make for my retirement. ?
