8×8 is partnering with VCE, the Virtual Computing Environment Company formed by Cisco and EMC with investments from VMware and Intel, to deliver cloud computing services to businesses, utilizing the Vblock infrastructure platform.

VCE creates a fully integrated IT platform that combines computing, network, storage, virtualization and management technologies from Cisco, EMC and VMware. 8×8’s recent acquisition of Zerigo enables it to add a comprehensive provisioning mechanism to the Vblock platform.

8×8 intends to market these cloud services to larger enterprise and government customers as well as its traditional SMB customer base, leveraging new and existing channel relationships.
