Why Him? Stern stepped into a new, larger role recently, at TWC. He continues to act as the company’s chief strategist, but he’s taken on oversight of corporate human resource functions development—including maximizing the company’s talent base—in addition to taking over stewardship of the residential broadband and phone businesses. Specifically, he has focused on TWC’s growing IntelligentHome security business, its wireless push and the MSO’s shift toward centralizing operations. A concert pianist, Peter has an interest in all things classical.

The one thing I’d do differently if I could go back to high school: Try out for tennis team again junior year. Third time could have been the charm.

My new year’s resolution for 2014 will be… watch more TV.

The other subject I wish I’d picked for my college major: Already double-majored in Music & English. Can’t beat that.

Favorite decade? 2010s… so far.

The movie that should never be remade? Airplane 2 —already perfect
