With a market of 1.6 million customers and 3,300 employees, Crowley continues to focus tirelessly on improving the way consumers perceive Charter’s customer service. He’s most proud of helping to lead the enterprise’s Customer Experience Transition program, “one of the key strategic components for our continued growth and success,” he says. He believes the biggest innovation in cable this year was “the continued mobility of video/data services and all of the cool apps that are now out there for our customers to fully utilize.” Washa‘s territory comprises Charter customers in Illinois, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Missouri. That’s more than 1,100 communities and 1.4 million customers—and about $2 billion in annual generated revenue. What’s more, the Minnesota/Nebraska and Wisconsin KMA’s are consistent top players in the MSO’s operational performance metrics. This longtime cable executive has this to say about the set-top box: “It should be smaller and wireless.”

Bands I would actually go see live:

The biggest innovation in cable over the last year has been…
The continued mobility of video/data services and all of the cool apps that are now out there for our customers to fully utilize our great products??

The one burning question I have for Siri on my iPhone 4S:
Are we alone in the universe??

The one thing I tell my kids about success in life:
It comes from hard work and doing something you enjoy

My favorite “going out” town:

My guilty television pleasures:
“American Idol” and “Millionaire Matchmaker” (helps me score TV viewing points with my wife)?

My favorite meal that I can also prepare myself:
Anything on the grill

My favorite meal that I can also prepare myself: Clam Linguini and a glass of Opus One

My favorite “going out” town:

Worst thing I’ve ever heard someone say in a meeting: I can’t repeat it. Let’s just say the person didn’t know their cell phone wasn’t muted

My favorite coffee order at Starbucks: Not coffee, but tea. Iced Venti, one splenda, black tea

Bands I would actually go see live: Back Eyed Peas, Adele, Nickelback, Coldplay, Rolling Stones

My favorite sports team:
Minnesota Vikings

My favorite vacation spot: Marco Island and Naples Florida

My favorite iPad app: It’s a tie between my Zappos App and my TiVo App (we are integrating TiVo into Charter TV and I’m a fortunate tester)

My guilty television pleasure is: HGTV. Just about any program

When I look at my cable set-top box, I can’t help but think that… it should be smaller and wireless

If I could only have authenticated online access to 5 cable networks (not affiliated with my company), they would be… CNN, ESPN, HGTV, Discovery and NFL Red Zone

If I invented my own app it would… I’ve been thinking about this for 6 months. If I knew it would already be done
