With a market of 1.6 million customers and 3,300 employees, Crowley continues to focus tirelessly on improving the way consumers perceive Charter’s customer service. He’s most proud of helping to lead the enterprise’s Customer Experience Transition program, “one of the key strategic components for our continued growth and success,” he says. He believes the biggest innovation in cable this year was “the continued mobility of video/data services and all of the cool apps that are now out there for our customers to fully utilize.” Washa‘s territory comprises Charter customers in Illinois, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Missouri. That’s more than 1,100 communities and 1.4 million customers—and about $2 billion in annual generated revenue. What’s more, the Minnesota/Nebraska and Wisconsin KMA’s are consistent top players in the MSO’s operational performance metrics. This longtime cable executive has this to say about the set-top box: “It should be smaller and wireless.”
