As the new man in charge of the Comcast’s intense Beltway Region, Coughlin hit the ground running this year by organizing a largely new executive team to meet the hi-tech tastes of the region’s diverse demographic. It’s a challenge, but after 25 years with the MSO, he’s clearly got the Comcast culture down pat.
The one thing I tell my kids about success in life: Do what you love, work hard with integrity, pride and humility, and cherish your family.? ?
My favorite business and/or motivational book: I know it’s 10 years old and some of the companies profiled have certainly not lived up to the book’s title, but I still value the advice and the message of “Good To Great.”?
My favorite sports team: Alas, I am a long-suffering Cubs fan. Need I say more?
My favorite vacation spot: Always the last place I went to, which for now would be Rome.??
When I look at my cable set-top box, I can’t help but think that… How very different it will be in a few years as guides, recording, apps, and video will be in the “cloud.”
If I invented my own app it would… Be able to stream a huge library of movies and TV shows, control my DVR, present a cool guide with incredible search functions across linear and on demand programming…Oh wait, I already have that with the Xfinity iPad app. Never mind.? ?
