Motorola is providing DOCSIS 3.0 ultra broadband equipment to enable Brazilian cable operator NET to inaugurate its NET Virtua 5G service in Sao Paulo. This is the fifth generation of its broadband service, permitting ultra high network access speeds. The new service will be available in two versions, 20 MB and 60 MB, on a trial basis free of charge for all subscribers to the company’s NET Combo HD Max package. The Motorola gear used includes the BSR6400/CMTS-Edge broadband router and the SURFBoard 6120 cable modem.
