Digital Partner Marketing, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment

This year, Earl made the move from Vubiquity to Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, where she serves as manager of digital partner marketing. She’s responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategies, tactics and campaigns in direct partnership with MVPDs.  She has created dynamic transactional and subscription video on demand merchandising programs and campaigns reaching millions of households for blockbuster releases like “Ghostbusters” and “Sausage Party.” She credits the “24-hour rule” with aiding in her success. “I always send a response within 24-hours, even if I don’t have an immediate solution,” she says. “I’ve built strong professional relationships by simply acknowledging the communications that come my way in a timely fashion. With very few of our daily interactions occurring in person this easy to implement principle goes a long way.”

What sort of culture is important to you in the workplace?

A culture of empowerment is so important and a critical element to my continued success. Knowing that I have the trust and confidence of my colleagues and senior leadership motivates me to push myself even farther. I’ve been so fortunate to work for several companies in this industry that have made cultivating an environment of empowerment a priority.

What is the one habit that makes you most successful?

The 24-hour rule. I always send a response within 24-hours, even if I don’t have an immediate solution. I’ve built strong professional relationships by simply acknowledging the communications that come my way in a timely fashion. With very few of our daily interactions occurring in person this easy to implement principle goes a long way.
