NCTA released "Nobody Covers Politics Like Cable," a 37-page brochure highlighting cable’s election coverage. Besides the traditional cable news net coverage, state/local news and public affairs channels such as NY1 and OH News Network are providing comprehensive coverage of state and local races. Other cable nets are offering non-traditional fare, including Comedy Central’s "Indecision 2004" and MTV’s "Choose or Lose-20 Million Loud," Showtime’s "American Candidate" and Sundance’s "Tanner on Tanner." It’s a nice follow up to last month’s 113-pg NY Times Magazine "Fall Cable Preview" supplement, sponsored by NCTA, CAB and CTAM.
